Greetings to you in the name of our Lord JESUS CHRIST.

Bible says in Psalm 56:8 [NLT]

“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.”

Tears are widely considered to be a sign of weakness. But the tears shed in the presence of God is certainly not so. From the verse above we see that the God of this universe values our tears that He collects them all in His bottle. But here is the question, Are you valuing your tears? What are you crying for? You can either cry because someone mocked at you or you can cry to God for the forgiveness and healing of the person’s heart who mocked at you. The choice is yours. But Jesus did chose to cry on the cross for the forgiveness of His mockers.

Luke 23:28 says,

“But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.”

• Hannah wept in God’s presence for a son and God brought forth a prophet (I Samuel 1:10)
• Hagar wept for her son on the verge of death and God raised her son to become a nation (Genesis 21:15-17)
• The Widow wept for her only son who was dead and Jesus, moved with compassion, raised him back from the dead (Luke 7:13)
• Mary and the jewish women wept for their dead and Jesus troubled in His spirit not only wept but also raised Lazarus back to life. (John 11:33)
• The Woman who wept at Jesus’s feet received forgiveness of her many sins. (Luke 7:44,49)
• Mary magdalene wept for Jesus Himself and was blessed to be the first to see and witness the resurrected LORD JESUS. (John 20:15)

Now it is our time to weep, to weep for ourselves and our children - our family, our church, our community, our colleagues, our friends and our nation.

Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. Luke 6:21
