Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to Your word
(Psalms 119:37)
In the beginning, The Lord God commanded man, “you are free to eat from any tree in the garden, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” Now the serpent came to Eve and enquired about what God had said to man. The serpent was craftier and it started to speak against God's command. It convinced Eve that whatever God said was a lie and told her, “when you eat from it you will not die but your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” When Eve believed in the serpent’s lie, she saw that the fruit was pleasing to her eyes and so she took a step to break God's command and she ate the fruit which God commanded her not to eat.
Beloved, God has given you so many commandments to follow, which would drive you in correct direction towards God. All the commandments of God given to you and me are out of God’s Love for us. If you rest in God's Love you will follow His commands. The Bible tells us, “If you love Me, you will follow My Commands.” Satan always tries to break the love that you have on God. Satan always lies against God’s word. He will try to convince you against God's word and to break God’s commandment and to sin against God.
