My dear beloved youth in Christ, I greet you all in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. May the season of youth bring abundant joy and vibrance and colours in your lives.

The Lord who created us, has bestowed on each one of us many talents by His abundant grace. It is the Lord’s wish that we should spend  such talents for Him, in the right time, right season. For God has kept wonderful things to blossom from us in each season. He is always willing to use us for His glory.

Bible talks about the various seasons in Ecclesiastes Chapter three. In fact each season is a gift from God in our lives to accomplish something for Him. The season of youth is important among these. If anyone callously or carelessly miss out this season, it can not be redeemed later. As The Creator and our Lord, He expects us to be beneficial in this season too.

The important issue today is that many young men and women have a strong feeling that they are matured enough and wise enough to independently make major decisions affecting their life and times. This is mainly due to the disintegration of joint family and absence of elders in the homes. Globalisation causing spatial migration of the populace and information revolution is also another contributing reason for this. One has to sit in the feet of the Lord and also take good counsel from parents and elders especially in their youth.

Paul writes in his letter to Ephesians : “ Awake you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light. See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5 : 14-16).

In these last days, the one sole objective of the enemy is to distract the youth and ruin their lives.  The enemy (satan) enters through internet, mobile phone and other gadgets which are prima facie supplement our lives but become  a pain by their abuse.;  wasting precious time in gay abandon with friends; indulging in all forms of debauchery which are not fruitful but an abomination in the eyes of the Lord….These close the spiritual eyes and opens the eyes of the flesh and ruin the season of the youth, which is the most productive phase of life.

Give first priority to the things of the Lord in your youth. He has made you and has called you even while you were in your mother’s womb. He who has protected you from all evil right from your childhood. Extoll Him today with praise, live in His glorious sanctuary in your youth.

To remind you, I wish to quote Paul again : “ And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather expose them “ ( Ephesians 5:11).

So live in Him in your youth and extoll His name among the gentiles. Submit yourselves to the Lord now, as you are reading this, kneel down and entreat upon the Lord for His grace.

“Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time” (Colossians 4:5) May the Lord bless you abundantly in this season of your youth.

Prayer :

Our dear Lord Jesus,

Please guide us and help us , to seek You, only You.  In these days of our youth. Redeem us and bless us for us to blossom in You to glorify Your name.

We ask this in the name of our dear Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
