It is important we meditate about the ‘Fire’ of GOD. GOD wants His servants to be ‘flames of fire’.

1. Eyes of ‘Fire’

The Lord Jesus said in Mathew 6:22, 23:

Common English Translations reads the following:

“The eye is the lamp of the body. Therefore, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light.

Having eyes that are sanctified is the key to a sanctified body. When our eyes are holy, our whole body becomes holy.

The LORD’s eyes are described in Daniel 10:6, Revelation 19:12. Both John and Daniel describes that His eyes looked like lamps of fire. It is to these eyes of fire that nothing remains a secret. Everything becomes open and unhidden. You and I as His servants, we are also in need of this nature of GOD.

Our ‘eyes’ must become like His eyes of ‘fire’s so you too can live a sanctified life.

2. Throne of ‘Fire’

We must always bear in mind that there is a throne on which the great immortal GOD dwells. Though the Holy Bible says that the heaven is GOD’s throne (Is 66:1; Math 5:34), we must also realise that there is a throne where GOD dwells (Is 6:1; Rev 4:2) & it is this throne in which the great GOD sits and it is a throne of ‘fire’ as we read in Dan 7:9 and this throne is ready and waiting to be established here on earth and through your lives and ministry as a result to the LORD’s prayer “May your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”. There is no kingdom without a king and there is no king without a throne and GOD has a throne which also comes wherever His kingdom comes on earth.

Today, let us long for His throne of ‘fire’ to be established in the places we live and serve.

3. Body of ‘Fire’

As we read about the nature of GOD, the Bible says in Heb 12:29 & Duet 4:24 “GOD is a consuming fire.” I believe this verse not only shows the nature or the characteristic of GOD but also His very being and existence. GOD has revealed Himself in fire to the people of Israel in (Ex 14:24; 19:18, Duet 4:15; 4:33; 1:33; 3:2) and in many other places. GOD revealed Himself in a real fire. ‘Fire’ is not just some external element that GOD uses to reveal Himself but it is one of the few forms that GOD Almighty is and has revealed Himself to His people.

Today, let our hearts eagerly thirst to encounter the same GOD in a ‘Fire’ just as Moses and the millions of Israelites did.

4. Spirit of ‘Fire’

Finally, the very presence of JESUS when He walked on this earth was also GOD’s presence of ‘fire’.

Demons trembled in the presence of JESUS because of this anointing that He carried- “the anointing of fire”. The disciples received this in the upper room- all the 120 received it. A famous evangelist once said, “John the Baptist baptized everyone in a river of water in Jordan but when we are baptised by the LORD JESUS, He baptises us not just in a river of water but in the river of liquid fire”.

There is a ‘river of fire’ that Daniel 7:10 speaks about and this river comes out of His very presence. It is in this river that JESUS baptizes us His Children.

GOD longs that you long and receive this anointing of ‘fire’ in your life: the Baptism of ‘Fire’.

My precious Young Friend, GOD reveals Himself in fire, GOD sits on a throne made of fire which has wheels of fire and from GOD’s very presence flows rivers of fire and GOD Himself has eyes of fire. It is His earnest desire to see you His servants as “flames of fire” as in Psalm 104:4.

Let us long for this ‘Fire’ to be sent to us in JESUS’ mighty name,

Prayer,

Father, I come believing that I will receive this Fire and please help me to be your servant and representative radiating the very love and power here on this earth that flows from Your very presence. Let the name of JESUS alone be glorified as I am transformed into your image. In JESUS name I pray,
