My little friend, Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 18:4 - "The greatest in the kingdom of heaven is the one who humbles himself and becomes like this child" God loves the heart of little children. Let's take a look at the kind of heart He loves.
1) A heart that is always ready to listen to His voice Even though little Samuel was a small boy, his heart's desire was to listen to God's voice. That desire deep down in his heart made him listen to God's voice that night when everyone else were fast asleep. Even Eli couldn't hear God's voice that night. Through Samuel, God warned Eli regarding the destruction of his sons. So never think "What will God speak to a small child like me?" When you have a true desire God is able to do mightier things through you.
2) Trust His words and obey His commands When my elder brother was a kid he would try to touch the hot cooker which my grandma had placed on the floor. My grandpa would immediately warn him saying, "No, don't touch the cooker. It is hot." So my brother would place his finger near the cooker and take it back saying, "It is hot" without touching it. He knew that grandpa had warned him because it was dangerous. This is what a child's heart is like. When Isaac was about to be sacrificed, he asked his father Abraham, "Where is the sheep which is to be sacrificed?" Abraham told him that God would provide. Isaac immediately obeyed his father and laid himself in the altar when Abraham asked him to. Later, God blessed Isaac a hundred-fold when he sowed in a dry land. When we likewise listen and obey to God's words, He will bless us abundantly. Prayer:
Dear Lord, give us a heart which always desires to listen to Your voice, a heart which not only desires to listen but live according to Your will. In Jesus' Name. Amen. Sis Jovita Helen God’s love missions family
