2 Peter 1:3 “Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by his divine power…”

The devil cannot remove those blessings deposited within, but this is how satan can stop you from becoming the best version that God wants to see:

When God created plants, He spoke to the ground to produce plants. So, plants need to remain connected to the ground to live. So, to kill a plant all you need to do is to remove it from the ground. (Gen 1:11)

When God created the fish, He spoke to the waters to bring forth the fish. Fish need to remain in the water to live. So, to kill a fish, all you need to do is to simply get it out of the water. (Gen 1:20)

When God created man, God spoke to Himself. Man needs to remain in God to live. So, to kill a man and his destiny, all the devil needs to do is to remove woman or man from abiding/remaining in God.

John 15:4 says, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.”

Determination and a passion for bearing fruit in our lives and ministry, by themselves, will not help you reach your full potential, but abiding in the Lord will naturally produce the fruits you are to bear.

Here are a few ways the Bible teaches us to abide in the Lord:

1. John 6:56 “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.”
2. John 15:7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”
3. John 15:10 “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.”
4. 1 John 2:27 “But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.”

I want to remind every honoured servant of God that if we keep our focus on abiding in God, the outcomes and fruits of your purpose will naturally be born this year.

Let us pray:

Dear Father, help me both to abide in You and and to glorify Your name by producing the fruits you have destined this year. I thank You in advance for all that is ahead of me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
