Habakkuk 2:14 – ‘For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.’

Beloved, The above is a promise and a prophecy that is also being fulfilled in our times now.

Today, let us meditate about the term ‘the Glory of the LORD’. In Habakkuk 2:14, the prophet clearly mentions that it’s the knowledge of the glory of the LORD.

In Ezekiel 1, the prophet has visions of GOD under opened heavens and the Prophet Ezekiel says in Ezekiel 1:28 ‘…This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD…’

What is the glory of the LORD? What did Ezekiel see? In Chapter 1, Ezekiel saw visions of GOD, not vision about the future of Israel but Ezekiel had the joy to see the likeness, the glory, GOD Himself.

My friend, when Ezekiel saw the glory of the LORD, Ezekiel saw the LORD Himself. He saw the LORD seated on a throne in Ezekiel 1: 26, 27, 28

“ 27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.

28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.”

Ezekiel had knowledge of how the LORD the GOD of Heaven looks.

“I want to know the LORD like Ezekiel did.”- If that’s your prayer after reading this.

When Moses was up in the mountain, He prayed ‘LORD, I beseech you, show me Thy Glory’ and GOD was gracious to answer that prayer and show Moses all the goodness of GOD and GOD Himself.

In Exodus 33:18- Then Moses said, “Please show me Your glory.”

Exodus 33: 20,21- What was impossible to Moses is now possible to you if we believe and ask because 'a greater glory' awaits you who are reading this today through the shed blood of the LORD JESUS CHRIST,

Seek the knowledge of the Glory of the LORD which is the LORD Himself.

Let us pray:

Gracious Father in Heaven, Please I beg Your grace to come upon me to show me Your Glory. I am unworthy but today let Your grace abide in me that I will see you and have knowledge about Your likeness. Answer Me because I ask this in the name of JESUS CHRIST my Lord.
