My dear youth in Christ, greetings  to you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I have great pleasure and joy in the Lord to meet you all through this forum. As we move through the last phase of the year, expectations galore. Ever since the predictions of Alwin Toffler came true through the third wave, which is the communication explosion (global village is the term he coined), world has shrunk its borders and it is almost like a single entity, where something happening in a far away country, catastrophically impacts the whole world. In a way Malthusian theory of population is becoming true. The great Agronomist (who brought green revolution in Asia and Latin America)  and Nobel Laurette Norman Borlaug once said, it is only a question of time before which  Malthus (theory of population explosion)  overtakes  green revolution leading to food shortages.  “Muppathu kodi Mugam Uadayal” ( country of 30 crore faces) was Bharathiar’s (the great Tamil Poet) description of India pre-independent period. Now we have crossed 130 crore faces. It is fairly believed that the next world war will be fought over water resources. “Neer Inri Amayathu Ulagu” (The world won’t exist without water) said Thiruvalluvar, the great Tamil poet. As communication and technology have redefined the world about everything we do in the past hundred years, more and more people are pushed into poverty and a war is fought between nations at every point of time. The green house effect is causing global crisis after crisis in ecology.

The great pandemic ( COVID19) even though started as a health crisis, ballooned into an economic crisis affecting every individual person in the world , may be with a possible exception of the wealthy, to whom it was a health crisis rather than an economic one. Even though the world has seen several such crises earlier, this one redefined many things and triggered new economic and political thoughts. Pastor Jeff Kinley in his book “COVID19:The great reset” gives his profound thoughts of world leaders to reshape every aspect of life. Some of the aspects of this great reset are :

1. Migration to cashless society
2. Moving to global mentality
3. Abolition of concept of private property
4. One world governing body
5. Catastrophes to reshape every aspect of life
6. Christian values will be broken.

May be the last objective will be an outcome of the implementation of the earlier ones. Prof.Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum says: “ The pandemic represents a rare but narrow window of opportunity to reflect, re-imagine and reset our world”.

Even though these objectives appear as innocent and well mannered, they will only add to the misery and only benefit those in power and the new “Super Rich” of the world.

Word of God says : ‘22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. (Genesis 1:22) . And so , where does our Malthus (population explosion leading to misery and natural correction) has come into all this ? God asked man to be “fruitful” and multiply. But man has become self centred and his thoughts are evil. In the last days, satan influences rulers and policy makers and turns geopolitics to such an extent as seen above calling for reset which will not solve the issues, but will only enslave the great mass of people more and more into misery. The real solution lies in building the Kingdom of God as Jesus said. Please read Isaiah Chapter 11 how life in this Kingdom shall be ! 

In a broader sense, the Lord also will order a reset, but not before the Good News is preached to all corners of the earth. Methusaleh lived the longest because God wanted to give more and more time for man to reform himself, because the day he (Methusaleh) died, the great flood started.  Jesus said : 37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Mathew 24:37-39)

“21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. (Revelation 21:1)

22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:  (Revelation 22:1-3)

Prayer :  Dear Lord , we thank you for this revelation. Give us the strength to remember our Creator in the days of our Youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when we shall say “I have no pleasure in them”.

We ask this in Jesus name.
