Dear sisters in Christ, Many a times we come across this feeling, "will we be able to manage the expenses this month?" Or "It's the time of the year to pay the annual insurance” or "one more week just has to pull through till we get paid". We all know we have a provider, our Jehovah Jireh. We claim verses from the Bible saying God will never leave us nor forsake us, His grace is sufficient in my life. We sing Jehovah Jireh my provider; my life is in You Lord, etc. to calm our mind and soul. But do we practice faith in our life? It's something for each one of us to ponder about.
We do all the above said things but there are times we are stressed thinking about the load on our shoulders. We hope something would change and our life would be different.
I would like to remind you about the widow who met Elisha and poured out her challenges in 2 Kings 4:1-7. When she sees Elisha, she runs to him and tells him that her husband went to be with the Lord and the money lenders are asking her to clear debt.
Elisha calmly asks her how he can help her and what she has in her home. Clearly she wouldn't have expected Elisha to ask her the above questions.
