Dear children,
I am glad to write to you all this New Year. Hope you have been good and praying. Today I want to share a thought with you about obedience. When we say obedience 2 stories in the bible come into my mind. One about, God rewarding obedience and the other about, How God reacts to disobedience. Abraham was a God fearing man. He listened to God and obeyed His commands faithfully. God blessed him with a child when he was 100 years old. Abraham named his child Issac. But one day the Lord told Abraham to sacrifice Issac. How do you think Abraham would have felt when he's been asked to sacrifice his son? He did not think twice. He still took Issac to the place that God commanded him to be sacrificed. God saw Abraham’s obedience and sent a ram instead to sacrifice. God did not want Issac to be sacrificed; He wanted to see if Abraham obeyed him. Many a times when our parents advise us or suggest something, we question back asking, "why should we do it?" or "what happens if I don’t?" But my dear ones, we must obey God no matter what.
God Advised Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit for the tree in the center of the garden as we read in Genesis. But Eve was tempted, so she ate half of the fruit and gave the rest to Adam. God saw it and He asked them to leave the Garden of Eden.
