Dear brothers and sisters in Christ!!

We are in the blessed tenth month of the year. I can’t thank God enough for all that He has done in my life. I am sure you agree with me. It’s indeed a blessing to share what the Lord has for you. Are you broken? Fear gripping your heart? Sleepless night? Tired of wetting your pillow at night? Telling yourself that wish you had someone to pour out your heart to? A trustworthy friend? A reliable colleague? A sibling who you can rely on? Your partner who promised to stay with you in life or death? There is this One Person you can rely on, trust Him, and believe Him. He is a friend to you. He has given you the sonship to call Him Abba Father. All you need to do first is seek Him (Jer 29:13 says “All those who seek Him will find Him”), pour out your heart to Him, cast your burdens unto His feet and He will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). He will fill you with unconditional love that can’t be compared to any in this world. You might think why God let you in this situation but as the bible tells He has plans to prosper you and not harm you, He has plans to give you a hope and a future. (Jer 29:11)

Do you think everything is fine once you are broken or upset and you find Him and find love and comfort and get back to your normal routine? No my dear friend it’s not. It’s just the beginning. That’s where most of us take grace of God for granted. You need to practice it every day. Christ needs to become the breath of your life. Everything you do you need to put God first. The verse “it’s no longer I that liveth but Christ liveth in me ” must become the line of your life.

What does the verse mean? It’s a beautiful way of saying “you have to live like Me”. We have heard our parents say your forefathers were godly men; I was brought up like your forefathers so you have to live like your forefathers lived. We are forced to follow their ways of living. But see how our heavenly father portrays it. He says you are not yourself any more. You have Me (Christ Himself) inside you. What does this mean?

We have Christ in us and in whatever we do Christ is with us. We are created in His image. We need to live a life that reflects His image. You need to live a life as a blessing to everyone, love your enemies, bless them, be patient with your family, friends, soul mate etc.., slow to anger, forgive all those who have hurt you, be humble because God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble. It is time to come back to Him. He’s not far from you. It’s not too late my dear friend. If you say I haven’t prayed for a long time, I haven’t read the bible, I haven’t spent time in His presence or I have been away from Him. He is just there standing with arms open wide to embrace you and pour out His love on you. Recently I met my dad after a year and a half, there were things I didn’t tell him or share with him in that one and a half year period because it just couldn’t be shared.

I used to Skype with him, smile and talk the usual stuff but never spoke about things that were bothering me. But when I saw him at the airport I just ran to him hugged him and cried. He knew something was bothering me but I didn’t want to share. He didn’t ask anything he just hugged me tight and said all will be fine. When an earthly parent staying miles away can just understand your heart or the pain, our Heavenly Father understands you more. Even before you utter a word He knows what it is all about.

May Christ be the breath of your life and may Christ be given glory in whatever you do.
