Many years ago, one evening as my friend was preparing for the next day’s ‘Sunday Ministry’ with all his heart, mind and soul; he realised that he had no money with him in cash for his travel, food and the other basic needs for the next day. He called me and we quickly ran to the closest Bank ATM/Cash Machine to withdraw money and to our surprise we were unable to withdraw any money. This was because his balance was less than the minimal balance of 100ruppees. My friend had only 98ruppees in his bank account. He checked it again the second time and the machine displayed the same.

Unfortunately, that day I had no extra money to offer him. This was almost 10pm on a Saturday night and we couldn’t approach anyone even to borrow money. Carrying the receipt from the machine that recorded ‘insufficient balance’, we both returned to our place of stay. My friend’s faith was a gift from God. Unlike me phoning someone else or trying to wake others to borrow money, to my surprise my friend trusted GOD to provide the money he needed and started to pray and prepare for the next day.

Even if there was someone to help the banks were closed for the weekend and those days there was no online banking too.

He went and prayed that night and slept. When the sun rose the next morning my friend got up, prayed, dressed himself well and took everything that he needed to take to minister but he had no money to even buy the bus ticket and the place he had to reach was many kilometers away. In his prayers, He believed the words of the LORD JESUS saying in Mathew 6: “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27 And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?”

His simple faith was that His heavenly Father who is always seeing him and caring for him will provide him the money he needs. The LORD JESUS said, “Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ 32 For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Putting his faith in the above words, my friend walked to the same ATM machine to withdraw money and he withdrew the money he needed for that day as his balance miraculously increased to nearly 2000ruppees. This was a miracle. He went rejoicing that day and ministered to the people and came back rejoicing with the bank's receipts that changed over the night and testified GOD’s goodness and wonder working power and it was a great encouragement to many.

My friends, if GOD can do a miracle and provide my friend’s needs, He will do it for you today.

GOD cares for you. Although my friend is a beloved of GOD, the miracle did not happen because my friend was special but the miracle happened because his faith was special. He trusted the LORD. Would you put your trust in him for all the needs in this life? GOD is able and He will provide. Do not worry about your future but trust the LORD JESUS and pray every day and GOD will do wonders in your life too.

Special faiths are always simple. It is “The LORD will provide”.
