Genesis 5:24 says Enoch walked with God and Genesis 3:8 says ‘Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as He was walking in the Garden in the cool of the day’. The above two verses say about the relationship between God and man. God has a relationship with man, so he comes to walk with man and to share His heart with man. Enoch had a wonderful relation with God so He took Enoch to be with Him.

God’s heart is longing for His own people so He came to walk with Adam and eve in the garden. We have a wonderful God who feels lonely without our relationship. Yes my friends God is always longing to walk with you, Every Morning God is looking for you to have a walk with you.

Why does God walk with Man?

God walks with man to know the heart of man, The Bible Says in Psalms 55:22”Cast your burden on the Lord and He shall sustain you”. God comes to walk with man to know his burden in the deepest heart.

Every day you may go through several problems and troubles which cannot be told out, remember  one thing you have a wonderful God who loves to share your anxieties and sorrows, He will never leave you in your problems, He will bring you out of that problem, He will comfort you and He will deliver you. When the world comes against you, remember the creator of Heaven and Earth is with you. He shall grant you the victory. Bible says in Psalms 94.19 “In the Multitude of my anxieties within me Your Comforts delight my soul”. God comforts you in your anxieties.

If you are feeling lonely and discouraged, remember God is waiting for you to have a relationship with you and to walk with you. Friends, share your heart with the Lord and live for the Lord JESUS, He Loves you; He needs you, because you are His son/daughter so He wants to walk with you.

When you walk with God, you can cast your burden on God. Definitely He will sustain you from your problems and difficulties and He shall give you His indescribable joy.

Secondly, God walks with man to give him instructions. Bible says in Psalms 32:8 ‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go’ you may go through several cross roads in your life not knowing which way you should go and you may be confused with different situations in your life and which decision to be taken in your life.

As young people you may have so many dreams in your heart for your future and you may be wondering how to do God’s will in all these? When you walk with God, He will definitely guide you and He will show you the way. King David sings ‘I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel (psalms 16:7)’ what a joy my brothers and sisters how God demonstrates His Love towards us in while we were yet sinners. (Romans 5:8)

How to walk with God?

Your true relationship with God will make you to walk with God every day, even today God is waiting with His open arms to walk with you ‘to know your heart and to instruct you in the way you should go, God wants to have a relationship with you. The Bible says in ‘Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God’. Yes my friends our sins separate us from the relationship of God. Many young people are going behind the lustful things, whatever is pleasing to their eyes. So they don’t want a relationship with God.

Without a relationship with God you cannot walk with Him. When Adam and eve sinned against God they stayed away from the presence of God their relationship with God was broken, so they were not able to walk with God. Friends you may have sinned against God and do not have a relationship with God, I have good news for you, The God who is longing for your relationship came down in the form of a man called JESUS and died as a sacrifice for your sins. Through the Holy Blood of JESUS your sins will be covered, ask JESUS for forgiveness of your sins and surrender your life to him, so that you can have a relationship with God and you can walk with Him.

Your relationship with God should grow Stronger and stronger every day. I give you two keys for stronger relationship with God

1. Mediate the Word of God.
2. Prayer

Word of God reveals about your God and prayer takes you closer to your God. When you know about God you will not sin and your faith will not shake, so your relationship with God will grow Stronger.

I pray for all your evil habits to leave, live a holy life, have a relationship with your God and walk with your God – The One who is longing for it. Amen.
